Jupiter, Florida, is a great place for guests and provides a variety of activities including kayaking, fishing, surfing, visiting the beach and golfing. The area also features a few museums, places to dine, shopping venues and hotels for guest convenience. Visitors who want to enjoy the water may rent a boat for fishing or for simple relaxation. Featured local venues include the Jupiter Lighthouse Museum, the Busch Wildlife Sanctuary and the Manatee Queen Waterway Tour. - The Jupiter Lighthouse and Museum is located on the waterfront. Visitors are able to participate in climbing tours. Flip flops, sandals or spike-heeled shoes are not permitted. Anyone wishing to climb must be at least 48 inches tall. Other exhibits include the Tindall Pioneer Homestead and the Pennock Plantation. The museum features its very own museum store and café, the Station J Café. The Jupiter Lighthouse and Museum also offers sunset tours, educational programs, special events and weddings. Hours of operation are Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. The last tours begin at 4 p.m.
- The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a nonprofit care facility that promotes the awareness of Florida's natural resources by bringing together wildlife animals and people. Guests may visit with the animals in the wildlife sanctuary. Educational programs include the Junior Nationalist Program, Outreach Programs and the Sanctuary Tour and Wildlife Program. Special events include the Individualized Sanctuary Group Tour and Birthdays at Busch Wildlife. The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is always looking for volunteers. The Wildlife Sanctuary allows wildlife adoptions of the Florida alligator, the bald eagle, the Florida panther, the great blue heron and the screech owl.
- The Manatee Queen provides a number of different tours on the intracoastal waterway and the Loxahatchee River, including boat parades, fireworks cruises, Jupiter Island Tours, private charters and private group charters. The Manatee Queen holds up to 602 people and features two-hour tours in the water.
