How to Create Your Own Table Set-Up with Chair Sashes & Table Covers
- 1). Arrange the table and chairs in desired location and in the desired formation. Measure the distance from the base one of the chairs, across the seat, and down to the other side of the base. Measure the depth of the chair seat. Record these measurements. Repeat if any of the chairs is a different size.
- 2). Cut a strip of fabric as long as the first measurement taken, and as wide as the seat of the chair. Drape the piece of fabric over the chair so that it hangs over evenly on each side. Repeat for each chair.
- 3). Measure the chair to determine how much material is needed to complete the cover. Measure from the base in front of the chair, across the seat, up the back. Then measure from the top of the chair's back straight down to the base. Record this measurement. Repeat for each chair of a different size.
- 4). Cut a strip of material as long as the measurement taken in Step 3, and as wide as the chair seat. Drape the fabric over one of the chairs on top of the first fabric strip. Arrange the fabric so that it touches the ground in front of and behind the chair. Add a drop of fabric glue on the sides of the strip to hold it in place. Repeat for each chair.
- 5). Cut a 6-foot length of wide ribbon. Tie the ribbon around the back of the chair at the base of the seat. Tie the loose ends into a large decorative bow. Repeat for each chair.
- 6). Tie small bouquets of flowers together with a narrow strip of ribbon. Tie the bouquets to the bow on the back of each chair.
- 1). Measure the width and length of the table and record the measurements.
- 2). Cut a strip of fabric as long and as wide as the table. Drape the fabric over the table and arrange it so that it covers the surface evenly.
- 3). Place a flower centerpiece in the center of the table. Cut a 3-foot length of the same wide ribbon used on the chair sashes and curl it decoratively around the centerpiece.
