    Engines

    • The standard engine on the Base and LSi models was a 1.6-liter, in-line four-cylinder engine with an 8-valve, single overhead camshaft design. This motor produced 80 horsepower at 5,400 rpm and 94 foot-pounds of torque at 3,000 rpm. Geo offered an optional engine on both the Base and LSi trim levels of the Tracker. This optional motor was also a 1.6-liter, in-line four-cylinder engine, but utilized a 16-valve single overhead camshaft design that generated 95 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 98 foot-pounds of torque at 4,000 rpm.

    Configuration

    • The Geo Tracker with a four-wheel drive was offered in two-door hard top and two-door convertible body styles. Both of these body styles were available for the Base and LSi trims. All Geo Trackers from the 1994 model year were equipped with four-wheel drive systems, with the exception of the Base convertible, which was equipped with a rear-wheel drive system. Geo offered a choice of a five-speed manual or a three-speed automatic transmission across all configuration levels.

    Base Features

    • The Geo Tracker's Base model included standard features such as cloth bucket seats, 15-inch steel wheels, manual-locking hubs, rear-wheel ABS and power brakes. Optional features included power steering, air conditioning, tilt steering, alloy wheels, skid plates and an AM/FM unit with cassette and CD player. The three-speed automatic transmission was optional on the Base model, as well as on the LSi model.

    LSi Features

    • The LSi model came with cloth bucket seats, power brakes, 15-inch steel wheels and rear-wheel ABS, similar to the Base model, but added a rear-window defroster and wiper, power steering, an AM/FM radio, tinted windows and auto-locking hubs as standard equipment. Options on the LSi included alloy wheels, tilt steering, air conditioning, a roof rack (on hard top models) and a cassette and CD player.

    Dimensions

    • The four-wheel drive Geo Tracker weighed just 2,400 pounds. This compact SUV model sat on an 86.6-inch wheelbase with a 54.9-inch front track and a 55.1-inch rear track. The body of the vehicle was 142.5 inches long, 64.2 inches wide and 65.1 inches tall. Both the hard top and convertible models shared the same external dimensions.
