How to Get Pecs
Make sure you`re sitting perfectly straight on the bench press.
Roll those shoulders towards each other and slightly downwards and lie down flat on your back, keeping this position intact.
Keep your elbows tucked in, and with about a shoulder's width distance, grip the barbell.
Maintain this position throughout your workout for those dream pecs.
Working Out on the Bench Press For your upper chest, try the inclined barbell bench press, this is pretty similar to the conventional bench press, only in this case, you'll be working out on an inclined free weight machine so as to work your upper chest.
For the lower chest, you need to do exactly the opposite and work out on a decline barbell bench press; this means that you will be working out on a bench press which slants the other way.
Now combine your bench workout routine with other chest exercises - flys, push-ups and pullovers, soon you'll be looking like your favorite comic book hero! But, hold on a minute, in your excitement to get that dream body you've been dreaming of, don`t skip the warm up routine.
The All-important Warm Up Never underestimate the importance of the warm up.
This gets your blood pumping before you start on the cardio routine and helps you get rid of all that lactic acid after your work out.
Also don`t skip on the stretching, even if you are a bit low on time.
This is simply because stretching helps you keep yourself safe from injuries and helps you relax.
Lastly, surprise surprise, eat more! Hang on, this does not mean more trips to Dunkin' Donuts and Burger King.
