Craft Supply Spotlight: Tacky Glue

106 20

I'm a huge fan of tacky glue! It's a white glue, much like the basic school glue kids use, but it has a little more stick to it. It doesn't run quite as fast as other other basic white craft glues and can hold craft supplies really well when dry!

Now note that tacky glue is still wet and messy, but it really gets the glue job done. I especially like to use Tacky Glue with fabric and felt, like gluing these Star Wars finger puppets and this farm glove puppet.

Tacky Glue is great if my kids are helping with our projects since it's so child-friendly.

Here are 10 crafts to make using Tacky Glue!

1. Yarn Art: we made a fun yarn Easter egg using tacky glue to stick that yarn.

2. Angry Bird Yarn Pom Poms: tacky glue works great to add eyes and small features to yarn pom pom creatures!

3. Pipe Cleaner Bunnies: cute little pipe cleaner bunnies, and tacky glue holds it together.

4. Recycled Paper Tube Train: gluing bottle caps to paper tubes works great with tacky glue.

5. Zig-Zag Glitter Trees: use tacky glue to stick glitter to a fun zig-zag tree.

6. Cereal Box Puppets: we glued popsicle sticks onto recycle cereal box pieces to make fun puppets.

7. Flying Feather Fish: we made flying fish with googly eyes glued onto feathers.

8. Making Hair Bows: make sweet little hair bows with ribbon and tacky glue.

9. Paper Cube Sculptures: With just paper and glue, you can create 3-D cubes that can be stacked or glued together to create a larger sculpture.

10. Pretty Paper Daffodils: These are such fun to make, great with tacky glue (especially the paper curling!), and look adorable on my mantle to boot.

Have fun crafting with tacky glue with all your fabulous projects!
