  Happy Camp is a town in northwestern California that is close to the Oregon state line and in the rugged Klamath River Valley. Surrounded by the Siskiyou National Forest, Happy Camp is an outdoor enthusiast's delight with attractions such as two lakes and the Trinity Alps Wilderness Area also near town. Elk Creek Campground & RV Park

• Open year round, the Elk Creek Campground & RV Park is situated in the Klamath National Forest on the banks of Elk Creek. The campground has full hook-up, pull-through RV sites that have cable TV and either 30- or 50-amp electric service. Restrooms, showers and laundry facilities can all be easily accessed from the campground. The surrounding forests and creek provide for swimming, hiking, fishing, rafting and bird-watching opportunities. A recreation room has pool tables. The camping sites can handle RVs up to 50 feet. Stores and restaurants are located within a mile of the park. Wireless Internet is also available at a campground that has picnic tables and allows guests to camp in tents.

Bigfoot Campground

• The Bigfoot Campground gives campers the choice of staying on spacious RV sites, primitive tent sites or in its variety of cabins. Situated across the street from a grocery store and post office, the Bigfoot Campground's RV sites are equipped with 50-amp electric, water and sewer connections. The sites also come with picnic tables and wireless Internet access. The campground, which sits along the banks of the Trinity River and is in downtown Happy Camp, has restrooms, showers and a laundry facility. Fishing is popular at this campground, which also provides easy access to a number of hiking trails.

Curly Jack Campground

• The Curly Jack Campground in Happy Camp provides access to the Klamath River from its camping sites. The campground has 11 individual sites for RVs, as well as four sites for groups. The individual sites are handed out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Located on the grounds are a restroom, a parking lot for boats and trailers, grills and drinking water from faucets. A campground host is also on hand to help campers enjoy bird watching, boating and fishing. Other amenities include picnic tables, vault toilets and pay telephones. The campground's roads leading to both the individual and group sites are paved.
