How to Reload a .223 With Ammo
- 1). Open the chamber and make sure the safety is placed in the "on" position. Point the .223 rifle in a safe direction.
- 2). Insert the .223 cartridges into the chamber, or if the rifle uses a clip, insert the appropriate number of cartridges into the ammo clip. Clips may allow up to 30 cartridges, depending on the model. Make sure the .223 rounds face in a single direction as prescribed by the ammo clip outlines.
- 3). Place one single round into single-fire .223 rifle chambers. Close the chamber, as the weapon is now loaded.
- 4). Insert the ammo clip into the .223 rifle if you use a clip style .223. Advance a round into the chamber via the bolt. If your.223 is semi-automatic, the new cartridge will advance into the chamber upon the first being fired.
