How to Mount Two Snow Tires on a Rear Wheel Drive Truck
- 1). Park your truck on a flat level surface. Apply the emergency parking brake.
- 2). Loosen each lug nut on the rear wheel but do not remove.
- 3). Place a hydraulic jack under the rear axle. Lift the truck using the jack. Make sure the jack is centered on the axle before lifting.
- 4). Lift the vehicle until daylight is seen beneath the tire. Remove the lug-nuts on the wheel. Remove the wheel by pulling it off the hub.
- 1). Lift the wheel with a snow tire onto the hub. Align the wheel so that the wheel studs come through the rims of the wheel.
- 2). Install the lug-nuts and tighten them with a tire wrench.
- 3). Lower the truck back to the ground.
- 4). Tighten the each lug-nut with a tire wrench
- 5). Repeat these steps on the opposite side of the truck.
