Replacing a Honda C-RV Power Window Motor
- 1). Open the hood and remove your CR-V's negative battery cable.
- 2). Use your screwdriver to pry out the power window switch assembly. Disconnect the electric wiring harness and remove the switch.
- 3). Remove your CR-V's door handle screws with your screwdriver. Also remove the arm rest bolts with your socket set.
- 4). Work screwdriver along the edges of your door panel and pop loose the plastic rivets that hold it in place. Work around the perimeter of the entire door panel until the panel comes free.
- 5). Remove the wiring harness from the back of the window motor. Also loosen the retaining bolts that hold the old motor in place with your socket set. Set the new motor in place and bolt it down with the retaining bolts. Plug the wiring harness into the back of the new window motor.
- 6). Replace your door panel by lining it up and popping the plastic rivets back into place. Also install your arm rest and door handle using the bolts and screws that held them in place.
- 7). Re-connect the electric wiring harness to your power window switch and pop it back into place. Replace your negative battery cable.
