- 1). Measure and cut silk greenery, such as ivy or myrtle, to 6 inches using wire cutters. Insert the stems along the outer edge of the foam, ensuring each piece does not fall more than 5 inches from the floral bouquet holder. Leave a small gap along the center of the lower edge open to allow for trailing vines and flowers.
- 2). Cut greenery to 5 inches with wire cutters. Lightly fill the main body of the bouquet holder with these stems, ensuring no stem falls more than 4 inches. Insert the stems to form a well-rounded arrangement.
- 3). Cut two stems of ivy to 9 inches and two to 7 inches. Insert the taller lengths along the center bottom of the holder, 1 inch apart. Place the two 7-inch stems of ivy on each side of the taller stems, leaving a tiny gap between each strand.
- 4). Cut two strands of ferns so they fall no more than 8 inches from the holder. Position a fern on either side of the taller strands of ivy. Fill the main body of the holder with four to six stems of ferns that hang 4 to 5 inches from the holder.
- 5). Insert three large silk roses in the center of the holder, forming a focal point. Insert four to six medium-sized roses into the sides of the holder to add color to the greenery and define the overall shape of the bouquet. Ensure the roses do not fall more than 5 inches from the holder.
- 6). Cut two calla lilies so they fall 8 inches from the middle bottom of the holder. Cut a calla lily to fall 7 inches from the center bottom of the holder. Insert two large roses so they fall 7 and 6 inches from the center bottom of the holder. Bend the stems of the flowers so they trail along the front of the holder, directly in front of the trailing greenery stems.
- 7). Cut ribbon in your desired color and wrap it around the handle of the holder. Insert a bead of glue on the ends of the ribbon to keep it from unraveling, or knot excess length into a decorative bow.
