Recording a CD on Windows

• 1). Launch Microsoft Windows Media version 10 or later. Insert the blank CD-R into your disk drive.
  
  
• 2). Click on the "Burn" tab and select "Audio CD" from the drop-down menu.
  
  
• 3). Click and drag songs from your music library over to the list pane to make a playlist of the songs you wish to burn. Drag files up or down to put the songs in the order you desire.
  
  
• 4). Click on the "Start Burn" button to begin writing your CD. Progress as it's being made can be viewed in the burn list pane.
  
  
• 5). Wait for the CD to completely finish before ejecting from the disc drive to avoid any errors.
  
  

Recording a CD with iTunes

• 1). Launch the iTunes program, version 9.1.1 or later. Insert the blank CD-R into your disk drive.
  
  
• 2). Click on the "+" symbol at the bottom of the iTunes window to create a new playlist. Click and drag songs you wish to burn to the CD from your iTunes library.
  
  
• 3). Click on the "Burn Disc" button at the bottom right of the iTunes window once you are ready to record the play list to the CD.
  
  
• 4). Allow the program to completely burn the CD before ejecting from your disc drive to avoid any errors. Progress being made throughout the burn can be viewed on the iTunes window at the top of the screen.
