How to Make Decorated Beach Buckets
- 1). Wash the beach bucket with warm, soapy water to remove any dirt or sand. Dry the bucket with a cloth or paper towel.
- 2). Enhance the bucket with names, words or phrases using alphabet-shaped stencils. Place the stencil against the bucket and dip a small paintbrush into acrylic craft paint. Fill the stencil in with the paint to transfer the letter to the bucket. Write the child's name or a saying such as "Life's a Beach" or "Seaside Treasures" on the bucket. Use paints in vibrant, tropical colors such as turquoise, coral and sunny yellow.
- 3). Decorate the bucket with whimsical beach-inspired designs, such as tropical fish, seashells, sandals, lobsters, sand dollars and seahorses, using stencils and paint.
- 4). Allow to thoroughly dry according to manufacturer's recommendation before using the bucket. Fill the decorated bucket with small goodies, such as sunscreen, lip balm, a rolled beach towel or a magazine if presenting it as a gift or party favor.
