Weather

• Let a phrase common to the nightly newscast's weather report inspire your Halloween costume. Wear a blue or light gray sweat suit and cut clouds out of craft foam. Pin or glue the craft foam to the costume. You also can create the clouds with clusters of cotton balls. Carry a spray bottle filled with water. When someone asks you what your costume is, squirt the spray bottle and say that you are "partly cloudy with a chance of rain."
  
  

God's Gift

• Use the cliche "God's gift to women" or "God's gift to men" as the inspiration of your costume. Take a large cardboard box and cut holes in the top and bottom so you can wear it on your body, with the top of it balanced on your shoulders and your head poking through the hole.
  
  Wrap the box, except for the hole sections, with wrapping paper. Glue a large gift-tag-shaped piece of poster board to the front of the box and write "To: Women, From: God" on it. Substitute "men" for "women" if you want. Place a big bow on your head.
  
  

Brain Donor

• Dress up as a brain donor for your Halloween party. Wear a gown and a pair of pajama pants so you look like you are a patient in the hospital. Squirt some red paint onto gauze and allow it to dry. Then wrap your head in the gauze so it looks like you have a massive head injury. Take a large piece of cauliflower and place it inside a large jar with some water. Carry it around with you during the party so it looks like you are carrying your brain.
  
  

Cereal Killer

• This simple costume makes it look like you are a cereal killer. Buy a variety of small, one-bowl boxes of cereal. Cut the boxes so that you are left with only the label. Use scissors or a knife to create what looks like stab marks in the cereal box labels. Paint the edges of the marks red so it looks like blood. Pin the cereal box labels all over your jeans, T-shirt or whatever you are wearing.
