- 1). Click "Start." Select "Devices and Printers."
- 2). Right-click the printer icon for your printer, then choose "Printing Preferences."
- 3). Select the "Maintenance" tab along the top of the "Preferences" window.
- 4). Click "Ink Cartridge Settings."
- 5). Select "Black Only" from the drop-down menu.
- 6). Click "OK," then click "OK" once more to close the "Printing Preferences" window.
