How do I Remove Dark Underarm Stains From a Silky Shirt?
- 1). Determine whether the stain is from perspiration or deodorants. Stains from perspiration is usually yellowish. The stain is probably a deodorant stain if it is white, flaky or greasy.
- 2). Cover the stain in liquid detergent if is from perspiration. Allow the stain to pretreat and soak for at least 30 minutes.
If the stain is a result of your deodorant, brush flakes off with a terrycloth washcloth. Make sure you remove all of the flakes before continuing. Prepare a half-water, half-vinegar solution. Carefully cover the stain in the solution before flushing stain with cold water. - 3). Wash the shirt as usual immediately after treating the stain.
