  Known as Ohio's "Star City," the city of Miamisburg, Ohio, is located in the southwestern region of the Buckeye State. The city is particularly known for its Spring Fling Festival, held in May of each year. One of the highlights of the festival is the Taste of Miamisburg program, in which attendees can sample the cuisine of local eateries. • Milano's is known for making authentic "Atlantic City style" submarine sandwiches, or subs. The original location in Dayton opened up in the early nineteenth century, and to this day, the fresh bread used to make the sandwiches is still one of the eating establishment's trademarks. Milano's serves both hot and cold sandwiches, as well as the specialty oven-baked subs, including steak, turkey or vegetarian. There is also a "create your own calzone" menu, as well as a range of appetizers, including boneless wings and spinach and artichoke dip. Pizza, pasta dishes such as baked ziti and soup and salads round out the menu. Platters are also available for large parties or functions.

• Miamisburg's Bullwinkle's Top Hat Bistro, a rib and steak joint, is known for its barbecued cuisine. Baby back ribs, smothered in a homemade sauce, are one of the restaurant's specialties, along with the house sirloin. The restaurant also offers a variety of Southern-influenced, Tex-Mex favorites, from Chicken Santa Fe and pulled pork, as well as seafood selections such as Atlantic salmon and traditional Italian-American fare such as Fettuccine Alfredo. A burger menu and a range of sandwich options are also available, as well as appetizers ranging from nachos to jumbo shrimp. • Just eight minutes from Miamisburg, in neighboring Dayton, is the El Meson Restaurant, a Latin-themed eatery. Tapas are one of the signature items on the menu, which also includes entrees such as shrimp fried in a sweet rum sauce, tortilla chicken soup, grilled corn cakes and vegetarian quesadillas. Other entrees include lamb shank and fajitas. El Meson has a separate vegetarian menu, as well as an extensive dessert menu, including selections such as homemade guava cheesecake, flan (caramel custard) and crepes.
