The Five Most Enjoyable Movies Starring Jim Carrey

This article will discuss the career and movies of Jim Carrey.
Carrey got his start in acting in the early 80s, but it was not until his role on In Living Color from 1990 to 1994 that he was recognized and appreciated by national audiences.
If you had to single out a movie that helped him break through, there is no doubt it was Ace Ventura, a character that has more of his fair share of memorable lines.
But which films have been Jim Carrey's best? Here are my personal top five favorites films in which he has starred or been featured.
The first movie that makes the cut for me is Liar, Liar.
In this movie, Jim Carrey stars as a lawyer named Fletcher Reede, who has a very hard time keeping promises.
After his son makes a special birthday wish, Fletcher can't lie for 24 hours.
The result is pretty hilarious.
Another movie that I will obviously include on this list is Ace Ventura.
I prefer the original (Pet Detective) as opposed to the sequel (Ace Ventura 2: When Nature Calls), but you can make arguments for either film.
I am also a Miami Dolphins fan, so I might be just a little biased.
Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind deserves to be mentioned on any list of the best Jim Carrey films of all time.
This is an absolutely incredible movie from the innovative French director Michel Gondry.
This is a must see for any fan of great movies.
I would hate to make a list of the best Jim Carrey movies without giving praise to one of his more recent successes, Yes Man.
This movie had the makings of a Liar Liar rip-off based on the previews, but in the end, it was very much different and in my opinion, a better movie.
Another movie that certainly makes the cut for me is The Truman Show.
This movie was truly before it's time; it came out before the reality television craze hit, and had it come out now, it probably wouldn't be as great because of the timing.
This is just a great film.
I don't know what the future holds for Jim Carrey.
Will he revert to comedies, continue to pursue more serious content matter, or will he stick to children's films as he has done in recent years? The one thing we can be sure of, is audiences will go see his movies regardless of the genre.
