Will this be the year of The Sopranos? Many people think the final season will garner awards in the major categories, but what about the other equally deserving actors and series? Who will walk away with the gold? We've made our own predictions in the three major categories and you've got a chance to tell the world who you think should win the 2007 Emmy Award.

Who I think should win: Heroes - In a time where television fans were beginning to tire of the same old crime dramas and reality series that flood the primetime schedule, this epic series offers viewers something completely different. It's extremely rare that a sci-fi series wins in this category, but if ever there were a year to shake things up, 2007 would be the year of Heroes.

My predicted winner: The Sopranos - While not every fan of this series would agree that the show deserves to win in this category, if Emmy voting is as predictable as in recent years, you can count on The Sopranos taking one final bow. The good news is that next year, everyone else will have a fair shot at the gold.

TV DRAMA SERIES ACTRESS NOMINEES

Who I think should win: Kyra Sedgwick - Coming off a record-breaking ratings success, The Closer's wonderfully talented ensemble cast led by Sedgwick has managed to put a new and highly entertaining spin on a crime drama. Sedgwick's portrayal of Brenda Johnson on the hit series is right on every week, but what I love is the humor and unpredictability of this intriguing character.

My predicted winner: Edie Falco or Sally Field - This is a tough category to predict because both of these women are quite familiar with winning the gold. Falco may very well take home the Emmy for her betrayal of Carmela Soprano one last time if this year turns out to show love for The Sopranos as a whole, but Emmy voters also adore Sally Field in any role she takes on, so Falco may very well lose out to the Emmy darling.

Who I think should win: Hugh Laurie - In my day-to-day life, I know people who aren't avid television viewers, but just about everyone admits to having a healthy (or unhealthy depending which way you look at it) addiction to House. All the coach potatoes I know also feel the same way. The reason? They just can't get enough of Hugh Laurie's portrayal of Dr. Crabby Pants.

My predicted winner: James Gandolfini or Hugh Laurie - Again, this is a tough category to predict because Emmy voters may very well bestow the gold in the major categories out of a sense of sentiment. If sentiment doesn't play a factor this year, Laurie will likely walk away the winner after coming off yet another fantastic season.
