When it is time to plan a wedding, it is very important to include wedding favours. Wedding favours have become an essential part of any wedding. They should that the guests invited are important and play an important role throughout the wedding ceremony. Though it may be all about the groom and the bride, there would be no wedding if there were not guests there to share in the momentous occasion. Therefore, wedding favours are an essential part of the ceremony because these items are used to thank guests for taking the time to come out and take part in this special day. Wedding favours are very simple to do and it is a sweet way to show guests that they are appreciated and that their presence at the wedding means something special.

When it is time to go shopping for wedding favours for guests, it can be tricky. There will undoubtedly be many guests arriving to the wedding – men, women, and children. The favour needs to be something that everyone can enjoy. It is impossible to buy a favour for each individual guest, as it could take a lot of time and can get very expensive. Therefore, the right wedding favour needs to fit for every guest. But how does one go about doing that?

First of all, take into consideration the theme of the wedding and the table decorations present. The favour should follow the colors selected for the wedding and match the decorations on the table. If the colors on the table are light pastels, then do not go for dark, drab colors that would ruin the ambiance of the table. Instead, select a wedding favour that matches the colors set on the table as decoration, or go with a neutral, like silver or gold. The favour should represent the wedding theme, so individuals, when they look back at it, they remember the wedding. For example, an individual who is having a winter-themed wedding may opt to give out a small snowflake-shaped box with small chocolates inside. The chocolates, of course, do not last forever, but the box will, and when an individual looks at it, they will instantaneously be able to call to mind the event.

Then think about the number of guests that will be attending the wedding. Look at the number of individuals who have confirmed they are coming to the wedding, but always add a few more to that number, just in case. Not everyone will be coming to the wedding, and it would be a waste of money to purchase one for every invited guest, instead of just purchasing enough for the individuals who have RSVP'ed to the wedding. If there are a large number of guests coming to the wedding, it can be very expensive to purchase larger wedding favours. Remember that most weddings have a strict budget, and therefore, the bride and groom do not want to go over the amount of money allotted to spend on wedding favours.
