How to Design a Baby Boy Shower Invitation
- 1). Choose a theme for your shower. This allows you to match the invitation with the shower theme. You may also want to match the shower theme with the decorating theme for the baby boy’s nursery. Themes you may consider include turtles, bugs, owls, puppies, jungle, monkeys, sports and cars.
- 2). Decide on a type of invitation you want to make. You can make baby boy shower invitations from a single, small piece of card-stock, with a bi-fold, tri-fold or quarter-fold. Other ideas are to set the invitations inside real baby diapers or bottles, or attach them to other baby items like rattles.
- 3). Choose a font and message for your baby boy shower invitations. Use your computer and a card-making program to browse through various fonts and pick a font type for your shower invitations. After choosing a font, type out the message or instructions you want to include in the invitation. Information you may add includes the location, time and date of the shower, and the chosen name of the baby boy.
- 4). Position the text on the invitation as desired. You may want to position the text off-center to include graphics along one side of the invitation, or you may position the text inside or outside the card, as you desire for the design.
- 5). Include graphics such as pictures and borders around the text on the shower invitation. Remember to choose graphics that match your chosen shower theme. For jungle themes, you may decorate the front of the card in a jungle scene and then include small clip-art pictures of monkeys and giraffes along the inside of the card.
- 6). Change the theme, graphics, text font, pictures, colors and borders as many times as necessary to create a final design for your baby boy shower invitations. Once you complete the design, print as many copies as necessary onto card-stock paper using both black and colored inks.
