- 1). Slide your card through the card-reading machine at the grocery store to make your purchase, just as you would with credit and debit cards.
- 2). Push the "EBT" selection when prompted. Enter your PIN, which you created when you first received your EBT card.
- 3). Complete your transaction by taking your receipt from the cashier. Your receipt states how much you have left on your card for the remainder of the month.
