- 1). Lift the wiper arm off the windshield or rear window until it locks into a fully raised position.
- 2). Pivot the wiper blade against the hinge at the center of the blade housing until the entire hinge is completely visible against the wiper arm.
- 3). Push down on the release tab, located at the end of the wiper blade hinge. Push the wiper blade down and toward the wiper arm until the wiper blade hinge separates from the hook at the end of the wiper arm. Pull the wiper blade away and discard it.
- 4). Pull the hinge out from the back of the new wiper blade housing by hand. Place the hinge in its fully opened position.
- 5). Insert the tapered end of the hinge, facing the wiper blade housing, into the wiper arm hook. Push the hinge into the hook until it snaps into place. Wiggle the wiper blade to ensure it is firmly mounted in the wiper arm hook.
- 6). Pivot the new wiper blade until it is aligned with the wiper arm. Lower the wiper arm to check the positioning of the wiper blade against the windshield or rear window.
