Have you ever felt the need to really thank someone from the bottom of your heart, but couldn't find the right words to express yourself? That happens to most of us when we feel that merely saying 'Thank you' would not convey the heartfelt gratitude we experience.
As the Roman philosopher and orator, Cicero, said, "Gratitude is not only the greatest of the virtues but the parent of all others.
" Whether you want to thank your loved ones for attending your birthday party, wedding, baby shower or for helping you out of a difficult situation - sending them a thank you note will surely convey your gratitude.
If you're shying away from expressing your appreciation for someone, but fall short of words - a gracious thank you card will do the talking for you.
Even if you want to thank a colleague for pulling you out of a mess at work, or simply thank your boss for showing his concern, thank you cards get the message across.
Thank You Cards - From Then to Now In the 1400s, it became a common practice to exchange notes as a way of social expression, by writing on paper and giving greeting cards.
A thank you note always strikes a chord with the recipient and lets them know you really mean it; and are not saying 'thanks' just for the sake of it.
So, whether it was centuries ago or in the modern world, thank you cards show that you've put in your time and effort to go that extra mile for a person whom you truly appreciate.
It will surely make them feel very special as well as glad.
An honest thank you card will put a smile on the face of the recipient whenever he/she reads it again and will make them reminisce about you fondly.
The best thing about a thank you card is that you can give it to anybody - from your boss to parent, from a colleague to friend, from sibling to beloved - and not feel awkward at all.
Various religions and spiritual theories encourage people to express gratitude more often to be better individuals and believe in the notion that what goes around comes around.
As the Prophet Mohammed said, "Gratitude for abundance you have received is the best assurance that abundance will continue.
" If by now you're already feeling grateful and know of a person you owe a 'thanks' to, what are you waiting for - remember it's never too late!
