How To Make Your Own DIY Dog Treats

1. Preheat the oven to 350°.

2. In a bowl mix together 2 jars of the same flavor of baby food with 2 cups of whole wheat flour, and if desired 1/8 of a cup of rolled oats for extra crunchy cookies. Mix together until you form a stiff dough, it may be necessary to add extra flour or water until the desired texture is obtained.

3. On a lightly floured counter or cutting board roll roll roll out the dough using a rolling pin until 1/4 inch thick.

4. Using a cookie cutter cut out the desired shape and take the left over mixture and form a ball. With the left over ball, re-roll it out and cut out more dog treats using the cookie cutter.

5. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet liner and place the cookies on the baking sheet.

6. Bake the cookies for 20 minutes or until done. Allow the cookies to cool completely on a wire rack before giving one to your dog, or storing them in a container.

These cookies will keep for several months in an air-tight container but will certainly be devoured quicker if your dog is given the chance.
