How to Cover Mirrored Glass Doors

    • 1). Decide what look you want your mirrored doors to have. You can paint mirrored doors with glass frosting spray to give them a frosted glass appearance and add stencils to create the look of etched glass, or select from a wide assortment of decorative window film coverings. Patterned films, stained glass films and painting-style pictures are all available from retailers.

    • 2). Clean glass thoroughly using glass cleaner. Apply the decal or frosting according to the manufacturer's instructions.

    • 3). Add further privacy and covering by hanging a curtain that covers the mirrored section of the door. The style of curtain and rod you select will affect how you hang the curtain, but in most cases you simply need to screw the brackets or hooks for the curtain rod into the solid (non-mirrored) portion of the door, then hang the curtain on the rod. If your doors are completely covered by mirrors, you can position the curtain rod on the wall directly above the door so that the curtain hangs down over the door. Push the curtain out of the way to use the mirrors or door.
