    • 1). Bring your owner's manual to an auto shop to buy the right replacement bulb. The assistant will help you find the correct model.

    • 2). Turn off the car and cool the engine. Even though the headlight assembly isn't next to the engine, it's close enough that you could get scalded if you're careless. Better to wait till the engine is cool to begin work.

    • 3). Locate the bolts holding the headlamp in place. Use your 10 mm socket wrench to remove the bolts next to the headlamp and above it. There will be three.

    • 4). Pull the headlamp housing as far toward you as you can. Even with the bolts removed, it won't come out completely, and it may not even budge at all. Slip your screwdriver between the headlamp housing and the car. Use some force to pry off the headlamp, which will reveal a stud and socket holding the housing to the car.

    • 5). Pull the headlamp housing away from the car, being careful not to scratch the paint or your bumper.

    • 6). Unplug the wires from the headlight.

    • 7). Unscrew the two screws in the headlight that give you access to the headlight bulb. It's held in place by a clip that can be released when you squeeze on two tabs.

    • 8). Insert your new headlight bulb in the socket and connect the wires to it. Turn the car on and make sure the light bulb works before you reattach the headlight to the car. If the bulb works, unplug the wires and reattach the clip and the screws. Follow the previous steps in reverse in order to put the headlight housing assembly back on the car.
