Kenya has two rainy seasons, the first is the long rainy season which last from late February to late May or early June, generally peaking over April. The short rainy season occur from late October into December. January is mostly hot with July been the coldest month on the calender.

Amboseli National Park has a beautiful skyline from the snow-capped Mt. Kilimanjaro. Characterized by Its savannah vegetation and lush swampland, it is known for hosting large tuskers, a birdlife and seasonal concentration of grazers. Wildlife densities peak near the end of the rainy seasons. The most favorable time to embark on a safari to in the Amboseli National Park is March-May and October-November. It is also in this park where you will find the big-five, large antelopes, water birds, hippos and the canning spotted hyena.

Aberdare National Park is a safari destination for environmentalist. The park is a home to a variety of forest animals and fresh waterfalls. During rainy season, it becomes difficult accessing the upper slopes as they become impassible.
