- 1). Measure the roof of your car from left to right. Be sure you measure from end to end so you know exactly what roof rail size you need. Before you install, clean the roof thoroughly with a towel.
- 2). Locate the load bars and railing feet included with the rails. You should have four railing feet and load bars, and each of the railing feet should fit inside the load bar. Assemble the other three railing feet and load bars so that all railing feet fit securely inside each load bar.
- 3). Place the combined load bar and railing feet on the roof of your car. Tighten by twisting the knob on each side of the railing feet. Fasten it securely; it should not budge when you push on it.
- 4). Secure the rack to the roof by fastening it to the load bars. Twist the hooks knob to hold the rack firmly in place.
