  There are many options for performance upgrades for the BMW 335i in a range of prices. Some options are for aesthetic purposes, such as metal-coated pedals. This article discusses upgrades to the engine and overall performance of the vehicle including spoilers, turbo software, exhaust systems and air-intake systems.
  
  

Spoilers

• There are a number of spoilers available for the BMW 335i, including front and rear spoilers. Some options for front lips and spoilers include the OEM BMW E92 and the E92 carbon-fiber models. Take caution when applying a front lip or spoiler, as they may interfere with adaptive cruise control. OEM BMW also makes a variety of E90 model spoilers for the rear of the vehicle, including fins and trunk attachments.
  
  

Turbo

• The turbo system of the vehicle can be fine-tuned with the Turbo Tuner and Turbo Tuner 2 from Split Second. Installation of the device is simple and often takes only five minutes. According to Split Second, the Turbo Tuner 2 gives an additional 50 foot-pounds of torque and 40 horsepower without damaging the vehicle's transmission.
  
  

Exhaust Systems

• Super Sprint offers a variety of exhaust systems to maintain optimum performance and provide a wider range of sounds from the engine. One model is the X Cat Back system that gives the car a more aggressive sound. The exhaust upgrade does not reduce the ground clearance of the vehicle and comes in stainless steel.
  
  

Air Intake

• Advance Flow Engineering (aFe) offers several air-intake boosters for the turbo. According to aFe, the model 54-1173 air-intake booster adds 27 horsepower and is made of durable polyurethane filters. The Super Stock System is a less expensive model air-intake booster also from aFe that gives an extra six horsepower over the conventional system.
