Anxiety Disorder Symptom Diagnosis
Usually at the worst possible time for the sufferer because anxiety can be associated with social events and interaction with other people, known as a social anxiety disorder symptom.
These are not the only actions that can trigger anxiety either.
There are many different causes of these symptoms.
In order to diagnose an anxiety disorder symptom, you first need to understand what to look for.
Some of the most common symptoms are of the physical nature.
They seem uncontrollable and can take over your entire body.
These include a racing heart (feels as though it will literally jump right out of your chest), sweating palms and feet (which can be very uncomfortable and cause an even greater reaction, especially when in public), lightheadedness (feeling dizzy or faint), choking feeling (as though your collar is too tight, even if you are not wearing a closed collar), shooting pains in the head and neck area and a general weakness throughout your entire body.
While this may seem like an extensive list, it hardly touches the surface of what you may feel when experiencing anxiety disorder symptoms.
Also, these are merely the physical aspects to consider.
Along with these you can expect to endure some mental symptoms as well.
Some of the sensations felt that can be classified as mental would include dramatic mood swings (feeling happy one minute, sad the next, possibly followed by anger, then happiness or extreme joy), an overwhelming desire to simply cry for no apparent reason, fear of impending doom (feeling as though something terrible is going to happen at any moment), bouts of depression, fear of losing control or going crazy, deja vu (feeling like you have done or experienced something before when you never actually have) and difficulty concentrating.
Once again you must realize that this is a short list of what you may feel when dealing with an anxiety disorder.
With that in mind, simply by understanding that when you do encounter any of these feelings that you are suffering from anxiety will help you to battle this disorder.
This is the first step to better mental health.
Anxiety treatment should be started immediately once you realize what these symptoms represent.
An anxiety disorder symptom should not be allowed to cripple you.
You must recognize the symptom for what it is, face it and get treatment as quickly as possible.
