Living in these fast paced, multitasking, modern times leads many of us to suffer from stress and anxiety.
Here are some effective methods to reduce and even eliminate stress and anxiety from your life.
Exercise We all know that exercise is good for you.
But in this case exercise is a vital component to get you to eliminate anxiety and stress from your life.
Starting an exercise routine that will allow for daily exercise is an important factor to your health.
Just 30 minutes per day for 4-5 days per week will lift your spirits, calm your nerves, and trim your body.
It is one of the best ways to improve your physical, emotional, and mental health.
Proper Nutrition Eating right is at the core of most of our ailments.
We must ensure that we are feeding our bodies proper foods.
The body needs quality fresh foods that provide the nutrients and vitamins necessary for the body to function well.
Notice if you have an allergy or reaction to certain foods possibly caffeine or sugar, if you do try to eliminate it from your diet.
Rest We all need to rest to restore ourselves each day.
That is why we sleep.
But sometimes the body is overwhelmed and needs extra care.
Try noticing your body and how you feel perhaps you need to get to bed earlier or perhaps sleep more hours.
There is nothing wrong with taking it easy for a few days.
Just try it to see if you notice a change.
Bodywork Therapy One of my favorite ways to completely unwind is to have a bodywork therapy session.
The two most popular types are massage therapy and acupuncture.
These types of alternative treatments are very effective in relieving stress and anxiety from the body.
It is a great way to tune in to your body and start noticing the sensations.
And at first these sensations are overwhelming but like an ocean wave once it has passed then the calm remains.
And once the session has ended you feel restored and rested.
Meditation Learning to meditate can change your life.
There are many types of meditation like: awareness, walking, and guided meditation.
Meditation is a way to just drop everything that is going on outside and stop to pay attention to what is going on inside.
One method is to sit, don't move, and notice your breath.
You will immediately notice that your mind doesn't like this.
But you continue to sit follow your breath and wait for whatever comes up.
You notice what comes up and then you return to your breath.
Do this daily for 25 minutes and see what happens.
Following these methods will benefit you both physically and psychologically.
These methods work in lowering moderates levels of stress and anxiety in most people.
If your stress and anxiety is severe then please consult your doctor.
There are many ways to treat this condition and your doctor can recommend the best method for you.
