Tips and Tricks on Hosting a Great Party
The worry that you might not have enough of this, enough of that.
Obviously it's much harder to organize a large event, but there are people who can help you with that.
Hosting a good party is pretty hard, and people have certain standards based on their experience.
However every party has to satisfy some basic needs - thirst and hunger.
Put it this way, you want people to come to your chosen place and stay there for a few hours and watch or participate in the activities you have prepared for them.
It's only natural to provide them with the opportunity to eat and drink.
But first, you have to let them know it's party time.
Sending out invitations can happen in multiple ways.
The most common, and most inefficient, in my opinion, is by phone.
This takes so much time and you have to keep track of so many things.
Some people don't answer the first time, others don't know, they have to think about it and so on.
Much easier to just send them an e-mail.
Or if it's really important written invitations.
For the most part e-mails function like constantly beeping messages.
You don't have to get back to them because they were busy, they will check it when they're in a good mood so they want to come to your party no matter what, etc.
It just has so many advantages, you can add a lot more information than time and place and you don't have to answer the same questions 30 times.
Food, drink and seating The big, bulky part of hosting a party.
Drinks can be solved with relative ease if you opt for a full bar or a drink menu.
However glassware is a little more troublesome.
You'll also want ice and other garnish ingredients like lemon and lime.
For glassware as well as seats and tables you can go to a party rental company and enlist their services.
This will greatly reduce the amount of sweat you have to go through to prepare these things.
Furthermore, if you want a specific look at your party and are thinking of a certain type of chair cover and ornaments they can help you with that as well.
They don't charge exorbitant prices and really, you aren't going to buy 50 glasses just for one party.
Taking care of the food revolves mostly around picking some easy-to-prepare dishes and making everything you can beforehand.
If you're cooking by yourself people don't expect you to be superman so don't try to impress with exquisite recipes.
Go for simple, efficient dishes.
As you're preparing for your party don't forget about the essential music as much of the atmosphere around the party is set through that.
If you want people to dance include a dance ring, if space permits.
Otherwise just enjoy your time together and don't stress yourself too much.
