- 1). Unscrew all the screws holding each side of the trim to the Protege frame with the Phillips screwdriver.
- 2). Lay a towel on the windshield of the Mazda Protege. This will prevent the handle of the trim remover tool from possible scratching the windshield.
- 3). Insert the trim remover tool between the rubber gasket and the trim at a corner.
- 4). Pry up and pull on the trim remover tool along each inner edge of the trim to pry the trim clips up and free. Pull off each side of the trim from the Protege windshield.
