Hi, I'm Chef Candace Conley, and I'm gonna show you how to make smoked mozzarella-stuffed meatballs. It's a great recipe, not too hard, not too easy, but I think you'll really like it. I don't use the typical ground beef in my meatballs. I like to lighten them up just a little bit with ground turkey, but then I add in a little bit of ground pork so that they're, they have, they're juicy, they're light, and they taste great. So what we do is rather than have a lot of fillers, we use grated onion, a grated clove of garlic, some tomato paste, and some oregano. And then after we get it all mixed together with a little salt and pepper, we put in a couple of cubes of smoked mozzarella, just right there in the middle after we round them out. Then we're gonna bake them in the oven at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. Then we're gonna check them. We want an internal temperature of 160 degrees for a meatball, and if they're not quite there, the check on them about every 5 minutes, and then by the time that they're ready, they'll be nice and juicy and brown, and you'll be ready to serve them with your favorite marinara. I hope you enjoy this recipe.
