How to Replace a Honda Accord Bumper
- 1). Crawl under the rear (or front, depending on which bumper you are replacing) of the car and locate the bumper mounting bolts that hold the bumper to the car frame. There should be four of them.
- 2). Use the socket wrench to remove the four mounting bolts and have your assistant hold the bumper in place while you disconnect the license plate lights' wiring harness from the back of the bumper.
- 3). Pull the bumper up and away from the car frame until it comes loose. Discard or sell the old bumper and mount a new one in its stead by reversing Steps 1 to 3.
- 4). Slide the new bumper into place and reconnect any wiring harnesses. Tighten down the mounting bolts and check for alignment with the other body panels.
