By making sure that your equipment is prepared and ready to go, it will cut down your chances of getting hurt.

Make sure your stick is at a good length and that you can properly use it without chance of injuring yourself.

Weight Training: Lacrosse players need strength in their arms and legs.
In order to shoot, you have to have arm muscle and to be able to run long distances you have to maintain your leg strength.
By communicating with a trainer or a coach about what you should be doing to prepare for season, they will be able to help you get a proper weight lifting program to put you in shape.

Running: Running is required.
By running fifteen to twenty minutes a day on different grounds will allow you to keep up with your competition on the other team.

Screaming and talking on the field helps you know what is going on and where.

Wall Ball: Wall ball is great way to help improve and work on catching and throwing.
Find a wall in the gym or outside that is away from everything and practice throwing with your stick.
Wall ball will help your strength and your ability to catch.
Just ten to fifteen minutes a day can improve your skills significantly.

Stance: Prepare yourself to never stand flat footed.
A lacrosse player always wants to be on their toes; get caught being flat footed and your opponent many just break your ankles.

Mentally Prepare: Lacrosse is a very demanding sport.
You cannot allow yourself to get caught up in a goal or a penalty.
Clear you head after every shot.
If you can mentally be prepared, you will you gain the confidence you need to play.
