How to Make a Banner From Newspaper Photos
- 1). Measure the dimensions of the first newspaper photo. Cut one rectangle of card stock that is 1 inch longer in each dimension and a second rectangle of card stock in a contrasting color that is 2 inches longer in each dimension.
- 2). Glue the smaller rectangle to the front of the larger rectangle. Glue the photo to the front of the smaller rectangle.
- 3). Repeat with the remaining newspaper photos, alternating between colors to create photo cards with a mix of background and foreground colors.
- 4). Arrange the photo cards into a series that attractively combines their shapes, dimensions and colors. Punch holes in the upper right and left corners of each square, about 1/2 inch from the corner.
- 5). Thread a 3-inch length of ribbon through the holes in the upper right corner of the first photo card and the upper left corner of the second. Tie the ribbon securely in a closed loop. Repeat to connect the whole row of photo cards. To hang the banner, loop 1- to 2-foot lengths of ribbon through the holes in the upper left corner of the leftmost card and the upper right corner of the rightmost card.
