How to Jump to a Slide Using an Action Button in PowerPoint

  • 1). Go to the View menu and select Slide or Normal.

  • 2). Go to the Drawing toolbar and select AutoShapes.

  • 3). Select Action Buttons from the menu that appears, then choose the Custom button from the palette.

  • 4). Click on the slide in the position where you want the Action button to appear.

  • 5). Click the "Hyperlink to" radio button in the dialog box that opens.

  • 6). Select Slide and choose the slide you want to jump to when you use the Action button.

  • 7). Click OK, then resize the button by dragging one of its handles, if needed.

  • 8). Change the button's appearance by double-clicking it or right-clicking and choosing Format AutoShape. Choose colors and other settings in the box that appears.

  • 9). Test the new Action button by running the slide show and clicking it.
