    • New Lifts: A new gondola, dubbed the Frostwood, debuts alongside a new fixed-grip quad that will run from the Tombstone base area to a location approximately one-half mile below the DreamCatcher lift base.
    • New Gladed Terrain: New gladed terrain has been opened up off Chair 5 for the 2008/2009 season.

    • Snowboarders Still NOT Welcome: Snowboarders are NOT WELCOME at Deer Valley either, so unless you want to spend some money on a sweet Bogner one-piece and take some ski lessons, don't go near Deer Valley's upturned nose this season.
    Park City Mountain Resort
    • New Chairlift: A new high-speed detachable quad, the Crescent lift, replaces the existing Ski Team lift.
    • Terrain Enhancements: A new run will be added to the mountain's existing terrain this season, and snowmaking capacity will be expanded.
    • Going Green: Park City Mountain Resort will be purchasing 100% Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) beginning in June of 2008 to offset all of the Resort's power consumption.

      • New Adventure Center: A new Mountain Adventure Center has been built near the Timberline Lodge and will house all of the resort's adventure programs, including Snowcat Powder Safaris, Mountain Adventure Tours, and the Snowsports School.
      • Expanded Snowcat Terrain: Due to the popularity of the all-daty guided snowcat tours last season, the resort has expanded the available terrain 100% to 2,000+ acres.
      • The Affordability Hook Up: The resort is rolling back the cost of a nighttime lift ticket to 2002-rates. Adult night passes will be $15, and kids 7-12 will be $12. Night operations will also start one hour earlier than previous years, at 3 p.m.

Editors note: It's about time a resort DECREASES the price of a lift ticket. Powder Mountain should be lauded for their attempt at making the sports of skiing and snowboarding more affordable and accessible.

      • New Chairlift: The Little Cat beginner lift has been replaced with a high-speed detachable quad. Starting above Earl's Lodge and ending at the upper parking lot, the new lift spans 1,500+ feet, rises 173 vertical feet, and has an uphill capacity of 2,600 people per hour.

      • See How the Other Side Was Living: The Aerie Sushi Bar (on the top floor of the Cliff Lodge) has been renovated and is now open year-round. It is no longer a private club, meaning everyone and anyone can enjoy the restaurant. Always good to see snobbish private clubs opened up to everyone!
      • Pre-Season Pricing for Private Lessons: Snowbird's Mountain School has added new pre-season pricing to its private lesson programs. Learn more by visiting the resort's website, listed below.
