- 1). Remove the drawer from the cabinet by pulling it completely out and lifting slightly. This should release the guides and wheels and allow you to completely remove the drawer.
- 2). Clean the guides on the inside of the cabinet and on the drawer, if they are present, using steel wool. Rub the steel wool in the channels of the guides thoroughly to ensure you remove buildup of dirt and grease.
- 3). Spray all the channels and the wheels with a lubricant. Hold a rag under the area you are spraying to keep excess lubricant from dripping onto the cabinets, floors and countertop. Spin the wheels with your fingers and continue to spray them with the lubricant until they spin free.
- 4). Tip the back of the drawer up slightly and fit it onto the guides. Level the drawer and close it. Open and close the drawer several times to work the lubricant into the guides and the wheels.
