How to Score Eight Perfect Crucible Rounds in Fable 2

    • 1). Buff your hero before you go. Aside from having good equipment, it always helps to be nice and strong yourself. Make sure you've got plenty of whatever your specialty is: brutal styles and strength, accuracy and speed or high-level spells. Whatever your specialty is, consider investing heavily in Time Control and an area-of-effect spell such as Inferno. Nothing burns down mobs of enemies faster than a good blast of hellfire.

    • 2). Buy upgrades before you go. Having the best equipment always helps, particularly when you're working against a clock. Getting to Westcliff allows you access to Master-grade weaponry. Buy a Master weapon if you don't have anything better.

    • 3). Use Time Control. This is the simplest method for ensuring you get a perfect round. Using this constantly will keep the timer from ticking, allowing you precious seconds to destroy your enemies.

    • 4). Bring a friend. Yes, you can do The Crucible in co-op mode. Doing so will make it a whole lot easier for you, especially in the later rounds.

    • 5). Save before each round. You'll be glad you did. If you don't get a perfect on a round, simply reload and try again.

    • 6). Blast away at the Troll. The Crucible finishes with one of the toughest critters in Albion: a Rock Troll. The secret to the rock troll is contrary to the rest of The Crucible: do not use Time Control. Doing so simply wastes time. Do not bother with AoE spells and try not to bother with the Hobbes unless you have to. Your only job during the last round is to run circles around the Troll and empty your ranged weapon at it. If you brought a friend, have them take care of the Hobbes and attack the opposite end you are attacking (eg: one of you takes the front, the other the back.)
