    • 1). Turn off the engine and headlight switch. Apply the parking brake of your 2002 Buick Regal, then open the hood.

    • 2). Locate the two retaining brackets at each side of the headlight lens assembly with the faulty headlight.

    • 3). Lift up on the two tabs as far as they will go.

    • 4). Reach behind the lens assembly, and disconnect the electrical wire connection at the rear center of the assembly.

    • 5). Pull the lens assembly outward toward the front of the Regal.

    • 6). Pull the protective rubber weather seal (on the back of the lens assembly) from the back of the headlight chamber containing the headlight you plan to replace.

    • 7). Lift the locking tabs upward slightly on the electrical plug connection plugged into the socket base of the headlight.

    • 8). Turn the headlight socket base a quarter turn to the left (counterclockwise). Remove the headlight from the lens assembly.

    • 9). Put on a pair of gloves before handling the replacement headlight. (Skin oil will damage the glass bulb section of the headlight due to its intense heat from internal gases when operating.)

Reinstall the headlight, and put the lens assembly back together by reversing the procedure.
