You've just switched on your Xbox 360, ready to play Halo 3 and the console won't work.
Believe it or not, this is a common problem at some point for a lot of gamers who have the Xbox 360.
If you have the Xbox 360 2 red lights, I am sorry to say, your Xbox 360 may have suffered the infamous hardware failure.
Why Have I Got The 2 Red Rings? Overheating is a contributor to getting the 2 red lights.
Even if you play your Xbox 360 in a well ventilated area, you'll find that the problem still occurs.
The real reason you get the Xbox 360 2 red lights is down to an engineering flaw in the console, which Microsoft has received criticism about.
The Steps You Need To Take Right Now Don't worry though; you have a number of options to get your console working again so read on while I give you the steps you need to take: 1.
       I don't mean to patronise you, but, check all your cables are plugged in.
Lack of electrical power could be a cause.
If not follow step 2.

       Let your console cool down first.
Switch off your Xbox for at least 2 hours.
Make sure the ventilation points are not blocked and leave your console in a cool environment.

       If after your 3 hours, your Xbox 360 still has 2 flashing red lights, think about sending your box to Microsoft for a repair, if your console is still under warranty.
That's if you have one.
If not, go down to step 4.

       Your option now is a DIY fix.
This can be risky if you follow the wrong advice, like the towel trick.
Which you should never ever do.
