The holidays are probably the time of year where every single person ends up gaining an additional 10 pounds and up.
Most of them eventually make a "New Years Resolution" to lose those 10 pounds or more.
The good news is that to lose the weight fast, all it takes are a few details to begin dropping that excess holiday weight.
Step 1: Do nothing and lose weight: The good news about holiday weight is that it is seasonal.
Most of us do not eat in the same manner all year round like we do during the holidays.
So get back to your normal routine and start dropping pounds.
Step 2: Cut back on the alcohol: Alcoholic beverages such as scotch, wine and beer have large amounts of empty calories (calories that will end up hindering your weight lose program).
Cut back on your alcoholic beverages.
Most of us begin increasing the amount of alcohol we drink during the holidays, this contributes to the dramatic increase we all experience.
Step 3: Walk an hour a day: There may be tons of gizmos and gadgets that promise to deliver the world when it comes to losing weight, if you do not have one, do not panic.
A simple 1-hour of walking a day, preferably in the morning will help you begin burning the fat you need.
Step 4: Cut back on the carbs after 6:00pm: With out entering into the scientific and biological reason that carbohydrates are bad after 6:00pm just remember this simple rule, to lose weight, you have to burn more calories than you eat.
Carbohydrates such as pasta and breads are made to be used immediately upon digestion, eating them at a time when you are at your least active will hinder all your hard work.
After 6:00pm stick to vegetables and lean meats such as chicken, fish and lean red meats.
