How to Install a PSP ABXY Button Board

1). Press the "Power" button on the right side of the PSP to turn it off.
2). Slide the battery cover from the rear of the PSP and remove the battery. Four screw heads will now be visible in the battery compartment.
3). Use your Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws and set them aside.
4). Remove the two screws on the side of the rear of the PSP opposite the battery compartment.
5). Remove the single screw on the bottom of the PSP.
6). Use your fingers to pry the faceplate off of the PSP. This will reveal the rectangular button bar located below the screen.
7). Use the tip of your screwdriver to pop the button bar up and unplug the thin ribbon cable that runs from the right side of the button bar to a port at the right side of the PSP. Set the old button bar aside.
8). Fit a new button bar in the old one's place. Connect the ribbon cable to the port.
9). Replace the faceplate and screws.
