How to Hide the Clawfoot on Tubs
- 1). Take measurements for your fabric skirt. Measure around the bottom of the tub basin to determine the length of fabric you'll need. Measure from 4 inches above the bottom of the tub to the floor to determine the height of the fabric.
- 2). Cut a piece of fabric to the appropriate measurements to fit around the entire base of the tub.
- 3). Fold the top of the fabric over approximately ½ inch and pin into place. Repeat the process along the bottom of the fabric. Hem along the lines and remove the pins.
- 4). Affix a rim of one half of an industrial-strength hook-and-loop fastener to the bottom edge of the tub. Affix the other half to the top edge of the fabric.
- 5). Press the hook-and-loop fastener on the skirt to the other half on the tub until it forms a complete circumference around the tub, hiding the feet.
