- 1). Soak a washrag in a mix of warm water and dish detergent. Wipe down the stained area to remove surface dust and dirt.
- 2). Acquire a cleaner with mineral spirits as a working compound. Mineral spirits, also called white spirits, are generally found in cleaners used in machine shops to degrease tools.
- 3). Coat a soft cloth with mineral spirits cleaner and rub it onto the stain. Immediately wipe it off with a clean cloth. Repeat as necessary until the entire stain is gone.
- 4). Apply a cleaning product called Feed and Wax with a soft cloth. Allow the cleaner to set on the stain for at least twenty minutes. Wipe it clean.
- 5). Wash the table with soap and water again to remove any residual cleaner.
