- 1). Turn off the circuit breaker for the boiler at the breaker box, and unfasten the screws that secure the electrical wires to the aquastat terminals with a screwdriver. Make a note of how the wires were attached so you can reattach them without any trouble.
- 2). Unfasten the screws that are holding the aquastat to the boiler with the screwdriver, and remove the aquastat from the boiler. Attach the new aquastat to the boiler with screws, and fasten the electrical wires to the aquastat terminals.
- 3). Tighten the aquastat terminal screws with the screwdriver, and flip the circuit breaker switch on for the boiler at the breaker box.
