How About Some Fun And Business?
I am a Christian , so I celebrate Christmas...
I have just been on a 72 hour information frenzy.
I have been researching for my new website and I have ran into some characters! I have researched a few dozen websites and articles on many subjects ranging from webucation, forex, self improvement, and many other subjects that do fascinate me.
It seems every time I put the keywords into Google, or Yahoo..
the same exact websites came up on adwords.
Different distributors, SAME website template.
Man, unless you are a retail store in the mall or a huge branded department store, that is Ridiculous.
Why in the world would anyone in their right mind want to work with someone that knows NOTHING about the product they are selling, and all they know is a script that their director taught them to get them to sign up so they could do the same thing.
Now, I did find some originality out there.
However, I could tell what was going on...
There's a picture of a stack of hundreds or a new sports car, but who cares.
I am a marketer.
I don't mention my products on articles, I am in the research stage of my product, and I don't wish to sell my product unless I know it inside and out.
Also, I don't feel right talking some naive person's money and throwing them out there with a cookie cutter website and a stupid script.
People sell, scripts tell.
Bottom line.
All of these great companies have ignorant distributors giving them a bad name with the "Hype" based sites that turn people off rather than getting them excited about a legitimate home business.
You've all seen them.
"No Selling", "Fully Automated System", "Make a six figure income with no experience", etc.
Don't get me wrong, these things are enticing, and the first 2 are Hype.
The third is very obtainable, but when you go onto training calls, all you hear is the "what" and never the "How".
I actually heard one guy say to his team, just keep dialing..
you'll hit one.
I don't know about you, but to a fresh, inexperienced person, that sounds like selling, and it's not so automated.
He also said, just buy some leads.
That's another misconception that kills dreams.
Half the time, these people don't even know what the hell they filled out.
They wanted a free laptop, or a wii game..
Leads are a crutch and can be obtained on your own with the right tools and instead of chasing them, you can have them chasing you.
It's true.
Why do you want to waste time and money on someone who is a deadbeat looking for something for nothing? No thanks.
I have been a business owner for quite some time.
I never chase anyone and the most advertising I do is giving away free merchandise or information to people seeking.
Works better than any ad campaign.
There's no secret to being successful other than you have to find your niche.
Everyone has a passion.
And, believe it or not, every passion is profitable.
It took me over 10 years to figure that out.
I tried to find wealth and success by selling garbage, insurance, and numerous other products..
but what shown through everything was I wasn't passionate about it.
What if you start an online business and you get psyched up about a new compensation plan and all the other perks but you find out that what you are actually selling is just an opportunity.
Man, that is a real kick in the butt! No real product, no real information.
Just build a website, get people excited about hype and teach them to do the same thing.
Blind pitches work in Vacuum sales, but when you have such a large research tool like the internet, there will come a time that you are stuck with a high advertising bill and an irritated downline.
Bye bye contact list! Don't get me wrong, I could be all excited and probably acquire a huge income by selling hype..
I just wouldn't be able to sleep at night.
Ten years ago, I would tell people anything to get that check, signature, credit application..
but like drugs, I was always left wanting more.
Not good for me..
if you have read this far, not good for you either.
So, now what? I have a couple of ideas for a website and I have some good products to promote.
I have a great support system and a couple of maxed out credit cards.
I found that helping people, and being an honest business man is far more profitable than being a hype master that preys on the weak and the desperate.
I will have my website up and running in around a month.
It will be solely based on educating new entrepreneurs and visionaries about what to look for and what to run from.
My main goal is not to get them to sell my products for me, or to sell them a dream, but maybe give them that bit of information that saves them..
their credit cards, their savings, their marriage, etc..
I welcome any suggestions, and I hope that some of you are entertained or informed a little.
