Discipline in the House
But it was overshadowed by the unethical participation of the members of the House.
These men and women of the House of Representatives are a reflection of the American people that they represent but they act like school children on the playground.
I was totally appalled at the behavior of our congressmen and women.
Remembering back in the my school days, when the teacher would say you sit down and listen - we sat down and listened and if we did not we were sent to the principal's office for a good lecture.
BUT our statesmen can not be quiet long enough for another statesman to speak without shouting out horrible terms like "baby killer".
That was totally unacceptable.
In this day and age of technology, I am not sure that all the facts of the war and all the actions of the ruling bodies need to be broadcast especially if they act so disrespectful of others.
It was all explained with the fact that they were tired and it had been a long day.
Then maybe they should have all taken a nap before coming on television so they could have acted like the highly educated individuals that they are presumed to be.
When they asked for a manual voting, I was excited because then I could see how my Congressmen and Women voted for this highly controversial issue, but instead it was done electronically so they were not held accountable to the people they were supposedly representing.
The vote was taken by the Speaker of the House but when the nays and yeas were given they sounded pretty close to me.
The camera did not show the American people how many stood up for the yes count? When our country was founded, it was by the people and for the people but I feel with the action that I witnessed last night, it was more for the congressman and by the congressman.
They were acting like unruly school children.
With all the trust and confidence we have in these people, they are truly a disappointment to me and my family.
When I write to my Congressman and express my disappointment in the appalling behavior that was exhibited in the halls of our countries highest statesman, he will feel the wrath of his parents.
I want him to know that if our children acted like this in an assembly they would be disciplined and reprimanded and possibly expelled from school.
How do you think the other countries in the world that were watching viewed this appalling display of rudeness?
